The Dana Porter Library is now equipped with day-use lockers for students to use while they are in the Library and on campus. Available on the 6th floor, the lockers are a perfect fit for books, binders, laptops, and other small electronic devices.
The Library is one of 47 Canadian university libraries supporting the Héritage project, a 10-year initiative from Canadiana.org and Library and Archives Canada (LAC) to digitize and make accessible online Canadian archival collections. The collection being digitized is intended to chronicle the country and its people from the 1600s to the mid-1900s and will be of great interest to Canadian historians, students, and genealogists.
Last term librarians provided research help at the SLC’s Turnkey Desk on Sunday and Monday evenings. This term, they are teaming up with the Student Success Office’s Success Coaches and Writing Centre to help students during regularly-scheduled drop-in study sessions.
The Library has launched new websites for the Musagetes Architecture Library, Library Accessibility Services and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) Toolkit as part of its website redesign and migration.
