Printing using the PrintWhere driver (available for Windows only)

  1. Log into the wireless network with your Nexus username and password.

  2. Open a document or web page to print and click the Print button, or choose 'File' and then choose Print.

  3. Choose 'PrintWhere 3.0' as the printer (ignore the PrintWhere plugin) and click 'OK'.

    Choose a Printer

  4. You can choose to enter a Document Name; it can be anything you want. Naming your document is optional.

  5. In the User Name box, enter everything that precedes the @ symbol in your email address. For example, if your email address is jsmith@uwaterloo.ca, you would enter jsmith.

  6. As noted in the following diagram, you will not be able to click the approve button until the program finishes counting the pages of your print job. When the page counting is complete and the approve button turns green, click it to begin sending your print job to the print queue.

  7. Don't wander too far. Wait for the green icon in the task bar to vanish.

  8. The laptop is now sending your print job wirelessly to the print queue. Try not to move around too much. If you were to stumble into a remote corner of the library where the wireless signal is faint, the sending of your print job would fail.

  9. You can print your document at any of the printers in the Davis and Porter libraries with your WatCard.
