Printing Instructions

Networked printing costs 8 cents plus taxes per printed side of a page; colour printing costs 40 cents plus taxes per printed side. Please see the charts located beside each release station for prices including taxes.

Use your WatCard or Guest Convenience Card to pay for your printing.

Print jobs may be released at any library public printing station, within two hours. After two hours, print jobs are automatically deleted from the queue.

Davis Library Main Floor
Porter Library Main Floor (across from Circulation desk)
Porter Library Main Floor (in alcove)

How to Print

At the Computer:

Choose Print from the File menu, or click on the Print icon in the Print dialogue box, click OK.
The Print Job ID dialogue box will appear. In the User ID box, enter everything that precedes the @ symbol in your email address. For example, if your email address is jsmith@uwaterloo.ca, you would enter jsmith.
Click on Print It.

The library printers default to double-sided printing. You can print single-sided document by following Single-sided printing instructions

Please note that the public printers are stocked with letter size paper only.

At the Public Printers:

You need flex dollars in your WatCard account. You may check your account on "meal plan" or "flex" funds.

swipe your WatCard or Guest Convenience Card in the card reader
click on mouse to activate computer
type in the User ID you used to send the job to the printer (everything that precedes the @ symbol in your email address)
highlight the job(s) from the list and select print
