Search Help

The search option on the E-Reference page allows you to search all items in the e-reference database. A search is made against:

• the name of the resource
• the page and secondary headings under which a resources is listed
• the subjects assigned to the resource
• the geographic coverage area
• the resource description
• the maintainer of the resource

In the second field, you have three choices:

• "All of these" searches the database and returns records that contain all of the words of your search in any sequence.
• "Any of these" searches for and displays matches of any record containing any of the words in your search.
• "As a Phrase" will search specifically for the exact words in the exact order in which you have filled in the search field (Please note quotes are not required for a phrase search)
