Integrity

A Person of Integrity

A person of integrity is aware of and sensitive to the needs of others -- strangers as well as friends.

A person of integrity strives to identify the right action in all kinds of situations. Alternative actions are weighed and prioritized in view of ends which serve society not just individuals.

To a great extent a person of integrity has incorporated this knowledge of right action into everyday behaviour.

The ideal of personal integrity is a goal in progress. The commitment toward the goal of personal integrity is life-long.

"If everyone were clothed with integrity, if every heart
were just, frank, and kindly, the other virtues would be
well-nigh useless, since their chief purpose is to make us
bear with patience the injustice of our fellows."

--  Molière
(1622 – 1673)
