Employment Opportunities in the Library

Casual Employment

Casual employment opportunities are available in the following libraries: Dana Porter, Davis Centre, and Musagetes Architecture.

A limited number of casual positions are also available in the Witer Learning Resource Centre (WLRC). To apply for these WLRC positions, please contact Mirka Curran .

If you are a student OSAP recipient, you can apply for an Ontario Work Study (OWS) position within the Library. Please visit the Student Awards OWS site to learn how to apply for this position.

The Library employs students registered at uWaterloo; undergraduate students must be registered full-time.

The Library employs non-students for short-term or contract positions in accordance with University Policy 54

Hours of work vary according to the position, with some positions requiring evening and weekend work.

Please note that due to the number of applications we receive only applicants with relevant experience and a schedule which matches current needs will be contacted.

 

Students can apply with their Quest credentials.

Non-students (community members) can apply by emailing LibCircReply@library.uwaterloo.ca with the subject line “Library Employment.”  Include only the following in the body of the email – do not include any resumes or special information at this stage:

Within 1 business day, an email will be sent to you with a user name and password which you can use to login to the LibWork application database and submit your information for employment. 

Full-time Employment
