Borrowing

Recalling Library Materials

Books on loan may be recalled by TUG students, faculty and staff, and must be returned by the recall due date. The borrower requesting that an item be recalled also indicated which library the book should be sent to for pick-up. Once at the pick-up location, the book will be held for 6 days.

Borrowers who have a book recalled by another borrower are guaranteed a minimum 7 day loan.

Periodicals are not subject to recall because, with short loan periods, they are due back in the Library before a borrower could receive a recall notice.

Items charged out to another user can be recalled at the Circulation Desks, on-line, or by phone. Telephone recalls may be made by calling extension 84600 or 888-4600 during the following hours:

Spring and Summer hours and any other changes in hours and services will be announced in advance and posted at the entrance to the library. (Hours are only valid during the term. Between terms, service is available Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. only.)

There is a limit of 5 items per call.

Recalled items should be returned to the circulation desk at any of the TriUniversity libraries.
