Members of organizations affiliated with the University

Members of organizations affiliated with any of the TUG universities (University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University and University of Guelph) may use the Library if the organization has made special arrangements with one of the libraries (registration periods vary). Members of these organizations must register at the university their organization is affiliated with, but once registered, they may borrow from all TUG libraries; see Appendix B for a current list of organizations and for privileges to which the members are entitled.

Members of organizations affiliated with any of the TUG universities may borrow regularly circulating books from any of the TUG libraries for two weeks and may renew those books indefinitely as long as no one else has recalled them.

Because of the teaching and research needs of our faculty and students, the following services are available to currently registered students, faculty and staff only and cannot be extended to members of organizations affiliated with the university:

Electronic Resources

The Library subscribes to many journals and other resources in electronic format.  Access to most of these electronic resources is available to anyone using a public workstation in the Library. Out-of-library access to these resources is restricted by vendor licenses to currently registered students, faculty and staff of the University.

The Library also maintains an Online Reference Shelf.  It links to many subscription-based as well as free resources.   Items that are restricted to current faculty, staff, and students are noted by an “[RR]” at the end of the description.
