Create a short video telling us why you love the Library for a chance to win up to $250 and other prizes!

Is the Library your favourite spot to meet friends on campus?  The only place you get work done?  Maybe you just love all the books and journals!?  Whatever your reason, we want to hear about it!

 

Prizes

The top three videos will be awarded cash prizes:

1st prize:  $250
2nd prize:  $100
3rd prize: $50

Everyone who submits a video or sends a comment by will be entered into a draw to win one of two $25 gift certificates for the UW BookStore.

How to Enter

It's easy...

  1. Grab your cell phone, camera, or any other video recording device.
  2. Tell us why you love the Library in 45 seconds or less. It doesn't need to be fancy!
  3. Send your video clip to us by March 3.

Be sure to include your full name and department/program when submitting your video. Entries will be voted on by library staff and winners will be notified in early March. All decisions will be final. All eligible entries will be posted for viewing on the Library's website at the completion of the contest.

Contest Rules

  1. The contest runs from February 14 until March 3rd, 11:59 pm EST.
  2. All current UW students, faculty, and staff are eligible to enter, with the exception of permanent library staff.
  3. Videos must be 45 seconds or less in length.
  4. One entry per person. You can work in teams, but each entry must submitted under one name only. Make sure to get permission from all individuals appearing in your video.
  5. Videos will be disqualified if they use copyrighted material (i.e. music). All content must be original.
  6. Videos will be disqualified if they include violence, offensive language, etc.
  7. By entering your video in the contest, you grant the Library permission to use your name and video in Library promotions.

Send us telling us why you love the Library and we'll put your name in a draw for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate from the UW BookStore.
