Out of the Shadow of Orthodoxy: Waterloo @ 50
a talk by Ken McLaughlin, Professor of History and Chair of the Department of History at St. Jerome's University
The University of Waterloo Library Development Office is active in hosting events to honour and celebrate contributions and talents of our academic community.
Annually the Library hosts an event honouring the achievements of writers and artists in the UW community. Many distinguished persons have been invited as guest speakers, among them include Pamela Wallen, Chris Hadfield, and Richard Gwyn. Visit The Friends of the Library Celebrating UW Authors and the Creative Process page for information and photos from past events.
Over the years special gatherings have been organized to thank our donors and celebrate their generosity.
