The Seagram Museum of Waterloo donated its 900-volume rare book collection as well as its early archival collections to the UW Library in August, 1997.
Included in the collection are a seventeenth century treatise on wine making "Trattato della coltivazione delle viti e del frutto" as well as a 1736 American imprint on the topic of temperance entitled "Distilled spiritous liquors: the bane of the nation." Archival materials include documents illustrative of the history of the Seagram Company's Waterloo plant as well as photographs and other material on the Seagram family."
