Geschätzte Eltern

Gotlob Segen zum Gruß [.]

Mit diesen Zeilen möchte ich Euch berichten das Br.[uder] J Kastner am Sonntag morgen gestorben und bis DienstTag 10 Ur soll beerdigt werden. So das wann Ihr morgen früh sage um 5 Uhr daheim abreißt so könnt Ihr dem leigenbegägniß beiwohnen. Das heist wann Ihr konnt.

Wir sint alle gesunt hoffe auch Ihr, Achtungs Voll Euer usw J Anthes

Sebringville June 12th, 1871

Esteemed Parents,

I greet you with thanks to God for His blessings.

With these lines I’d like to let you know that Brother J. Kastner died Sunday morning and will be buried on Tuesday at 10:00. This means that if you depart early in the morning, perhaps around 5:00, you could be present for the funeral − that is, if you can.

We are all healthy and hope the same is true for you.
