Dr. Reaman wrote and lectured on a wide variety of topics and many of his personal and professional interests are represented in this fonds. Most significant are those materials related to the history and settlement of Waterloo County. Also of interest are the several typescripts of two unpublished novels: "What Sorrow Beyond Sorrows" and "Strangers on the Earth". The latter title was written under the pseudonym Raymond White and was described by Reaman in a letter (27 April 1942 File 1.6) to Lorne Pierce of the Ryerson Press as follows "everything about it is true to life as it was lived in York County and other districts mentioned during the period 1900-1911."

Title from contents of the fonds.

Donated by Elaine Reaman, daughter of G. Elmore Reaman, in 1985.

Included in the original donation were publications, photographs and newspaper clippings relating to Dr. Reaman's work at the University of Waterloo. These materials have been transferred to the University of Waterloo Archives.
