Annual Report 1996/ 1997
4. Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery
- The ILL/DD staff implemented Aviso 5.2, an Interlibrary Loans Management and Messaging software package, which contains some long awaited workflow and statistics-logging improvements.
- Completed a SwetScan Trial with the help of Davis liaison librarians. SwetScan is a table-of-contents and patron-initiated ordering service produced in part by CISTI. The collection strength is in the areas of Science, Medicine and Technology. The outcome of the trial resulted in a decision to make the SwetScan service available as a TUG initiative beginning in fall 1997.
- Moved ILL/DD funding controls to the Acquisitions Budget and transferred invoice payment to the Library Acquisition Unit for better man agement.
- Created email forms and procedures, with Tri University Group of Libraries (TUG) partners, for the delivery of documents from the TUG Annex.
