Students require study spaces as dynamic as they are.
Thanks to two major gifts, the Library will be making tremendous improvements to student study spaces in the Dana Porter Library in 2012.
» $25,000 from the Mary and
Warren Ober Foundation to
create the Warren and Mary Ober
Group Study Rooms on the tenth
floor of the Dana Porter Library.
The renovation will incorporate
accessibility and universal design
principles to create a welcoming
and efficient study space for students.
» $100,000 from Elise Devitt to
contribute to a complete renovation
of the Dana Porter Library’s sixth
floor. The renovation will include the
creation of the James and Elise
Devitt Group Study Room and
will reflect recommendations from a
recent assessment of the Library that
will set the standard for changes to
additional floors in the future.
Additional renovation and relocation
projects currently or soon-to-be
underway include a renovation of
the public areas in the Davis Centre
Library and the relocation and
integration of the University Map
Library into the Dana Porter Library.
