LAUW launches Librarians’ Activities and Accomplishments page

via http://www.lib.uwaterloo.ca/lauw/activitiesandaccomplishments.html

Sure, it looks sparse right now, but we are confident that due to the busy professional lives University of Waterloo librarians lead, this page will grow to become a rich and diverse inventory of the amazing things we do.  As the description notes:

“Our hope is to capture what Waterloo librarians are up to professionally and to share this information on our website and possibly with our community in ways that are appropriate and that help to raise the profile of librarians at the University of Waterloo.”

So, have you got news to share? We need your help to populate the page. Use the simple, easy-to-use form provided, to submit your and your colleagues accomplishments.

Eva Dodsworth's Getting Started with GIS

We congratulate Eva Dodsworth on the publication of her book, Getting Started with GIS. This publication is clearly the culmination of a lot of hard work and an impressive display of expertise.  Accomplishments like this one are evidence that improvements, like study leaves, negotiated into the Librarians' Employment Handbook in recent years can contribute to the profession at UW and beyond.

Well done, Eva!
