A comprehensive history arranged by topic. Dated, but still a valuable basic source of information. The general index, volume 23, lists manuscript sources, historical tables, and extensive bibliographies arranged according to volume.

Title varies. Contains useful information about various aspects of Canadian life. Latest edition available in the locations listed above. Volumes dealing with the years 1853 and 1855 to 1856 are stored in the Doris Lewis Rare Book Room. From 1857 onwards the material is shelved in the stacks.

Library has: 1901-1938.

An annual review of Canadian events in the form of comprehensive essays. Provides a survey of politics, economics, finance, industry, labour, and external affairs. Examines events in each province as well as on the national scene. Obituaries are included.

Replaced the Canadian Annual Review of Public Affairs after an interval of 22 years. Between 1960 and 1970 the yearbook was called the Canadian Annual Review.

This authoritative series traces Canada's history from the early voyages of the Vikings to 1967. Individual volumes are written by leading Canadian historians. Each volume contains an excellent bibliography.

Library has: 1878 to 1886.

Provides information about the Canadian government, public appointments, the militia, education, obituaries, etc. Includes name and subject indexes.

Published by the Department of Labour, this periodical contains articles and statistics relating to all aspects of employment including legislation, wages, and cost of living information. An index for each year can be found at the beginning of each annual volume. Partially index in PAIS International.
Canadian Parliamentary Guide.
Library has: 1873-1912 (incomplete), 1914 to 2005.

Title varies. Provides concise biographies of members of the federal and provincial government. Election results from 1867 on. Issues prior to current five years kept in storage. Latest edition also located in the government publications collection.

Early Canadiana Online (ECO) is a digital library of primary sources in Canadian history from the first European contact to the early 20th century. The collection is particularly strong in the subject areas of literature, women's history, travel and exploration, native studies, the history of French Canada, and early federal government documents.
