The Library has accomplished much since uWaterloo's 6th Decade Plan was developed in 2006. Our focus during this time has been on three broad strategic areas: e-initiatives, enriching the student experience, and space.
As we near the mid-point of the 6th Decade Plan, it is important that we consider our current environment and the ability to meet the aspirations highlighted in the Plan. Today, the Library is doing significantly more with significantly fewer staff in a more complex and larger environment. As we move towards the 7th decade, it is important on an overarching and moving forward basis that our staffing, budgets, resources, and services are appropriate for the new evolving environment and are aligned with both the University’s and Library’s strategic directions and priorities.
