Midterm Exams and Term Papers

Let the UW Library help you with your midterm exam preparation and term paper research needs.

Locating Previous Midterm Exams

Some professors archive their former midterm (and final) exams with the goal that students will access these for current midterm exam preparation. These past exams serve as a study aid by providing practice questions and allowing students to become familiar with various test formats.

A selection of previous midterm exams can be accessed through the Library's Course Reserves search form (available via a the link provided on the Library's home page). Print or electronic reserve searches can be conducted by inputting the respective course code and/or instructor's name.

It is always good to check with your professor to see if copies of past midterm exams are available for student access.

Help with Term Paper Research

The Library is a great place for acquiring help for your term paper research needs. Whether searching for journal articles, books, and/or other documentation, the staff at the Library's Information Desk can show you the best places to start your research and how to use the various print and electronic resources to find what you need.

Another helpful resource is your subject area's Liaison Librarian representative. By booking a consultation with your Liaison Librarian, he or she can provide an in-depth and indvidualized session for your research needs.

Please refer to the Effective Library Research guide for additional information.
