For almost a year, UW alumna, Rachel Caldwell, has been one of the driving forces behind news @ your library.

Rachel collects ideas, photos, and information for the Library’s online newsletter, while writing the majority of the articles featured each month.

Rachel recently accepted a one-year contract as Associate, Library Communications and Information Services. She was originally hired in 2004 as a co-op student for Dana Porter Library’s Information Services and Resources Department. Her co-op placement then extended into a one-year contract as an intern for Library Communications and Information Services.

Rachel brings a variety of academic experience with her to the Library.  In addition to her BA in English Literature from UW/St. Jerome’s University and BEd from Brock University, she recently completed an MLIS degree from the University of Western Ontario. Before pursuing a career with the Library, Rachel worked for several years as an English teacher at St. Mary’s High School in Kitchener, Ontario.
