The Dana Porter Library’s main floor is sporting new IBM computer workstations with flat screen monitors. These new workstations, equipped with an extensive suite of supported software (including Microsoft Office) and research tools, are made possible from the UW Alumni @ IBM Campaign. The Library was recently awarded a gift of $750,000 CDN for renovations from the Kresge Challenge Grant. This grant was made on a challenge basis: if the Library can raise the balance required to complete the renovation goal of $2.8 million by December 2006, then the grant funds from Kresge will be received.
