House of Commons Parliamentary Papers [Great Britain]

Online indexing and full text for Great Britain’s House of Commons Parliamentary Papers (HCPP) is now available at the Library.

Currently containing over 44,000 papers (or approximately 2.5 million scanned pages), HCPP online provides access to over two centuries of primary research resources pertaining to parliamentary policy, investigation, correspondence, and reports.

Indexing coverage for HCPP documents ranges from 1801-2004, while full-text documents are available from 1840-1883 and 1901-1904. Records for these documents can be searched by keyword, paper title, subject, author, House of Commons session, and/or paper number. A number of search limiters are also provided for document format and year published.

Additional features offered by HCPP include a temporary search history file, the ability to mark records, and a personal archive for saving these searches and records.

Access to HCPP is available from the Library’s Research Databases (Journal Articles) page by clicking on the letter "H" in the Browse by Title section, then by selecting the link for "House of Commons [Great Britain] Parliamentary Papers."

It can also be accessed via the Library’s catalogue, TRELLIS.
