Enhancing Academic Integrity with Refworks

Need another reason to check out Refworks? In light of the Academic Integrity Committee's report on enhancing academic integrity at UW, Refworks can help you cite sources confidently and accurately.

How does Refworks work?

Refworks is an internet based bibliographic software that helps you compile, organize, and output your citations. It is free for all current UW faculty, students, and staff. With it, you can:

• Add and manage citations of books, journal articles, websites and more - all as you research
• Create bibliographies in seconds
• Change citation styles on a whim, with over 200 styles to choose from
• Access your citations from anywhere in the world, from any computer
• And much, much more!

Getting started

It’s easy...

1. Create a Refworks account
   
2. Choose how you’d like to learn the Refworks basics:
   
• Attend a Library Refworks workshop
• Consult the Refworks Quick Start Guide
• View the Refworks online tutorial
• Consult the Refworks help page
• Contact your liaison librarian for help
  
3. Stop agonizing over citations, and enjoy your research and writing!
