Introducing Luvneet Rana

Luvneet Rana

Library Intern, Davis Library
Ext. 36809

Next time you are in the Davis Centre Library, keep your eyes peeled for Luvneet Rana, the newest member of the Davis Information Services & Resources team.

Here for an 8-month internship funded partially by the Gladys Srivastava endowment fund, Luvneet is a co-op student from the University of Western Ontario where she is completing her Master of Library and Information Science degree.

Since arriving in late August, Luvneet has been active working on the Information Desk, providing instructional support, and immersing herself in the Library Instruction Committee, as well as with a handful of projects. Beginning shortly, Luvneet will also be assisting with a digitization project in Special Collections one day a week.

With a background in history, the science and engineering focus at Davis is new territory for Luvneet. Although she jokes, “Some days I get nostalgic, and wish someone would ask me about Early English Books Online or Henry VIII,” she quickly admits to enjoying the challenge of learning the science and engineering disciplines and resources. With Davis being a bustling hive of activity, we are certain that Luvneet will be learning quickly.

Welcome Luvneet!
