Skype a Librarian

Skype logoGot a question? Now you can Skype a Librarian.

Skype reference is available Monday to Friday from 12 – 4 pm in addition to the Library’s current IM reference service for MSN, Google Talk, AIM, and Yahoo! Messenger.

The advantage with Skype over other IM programs is that it enables voice-over IP, as well as a useful Unyte plug-in that allows librarians to screenshare. So not only can you talk and IM with a librarian, you can view what they’re searching, when they’re searching it.

For non-Skype users interested in giving this service a try, Skype is free to download on the Skype website.
