New E-Journal System

Many avid e-journal users have already noticed the Library's new e-journal system that has been available since mid-January. Beginning Monday February 11th, this new A-Z e-journal system will be officially launched to replace the Library's old e-journal search.

What are the advantages of the new e-journals system?

The new system makes finding e-journals a faster, easier, and more coherent experience. Among its many features, it improves the search process by:

  1. Utilizing an A-Z list — making it easy to browse e-journals:

  2. Allowing you to limit your search to e-journals that "start with" or "contain" your search terms:

"Starts with" is great for when you know exactly how the name of an e-journal starts.

"Containing" is useful when you know some of the words in the journal's title, but not all of them.

  3. Providing an "article finder" search, enabling you to find the exact article you are looking for directly:

What's next?

This new e-journal system is the first of many improvements that will be made over the next year to improve your online research experience with the Library.

Library staff are still perfecting this new system and would appreciate any feedback. Submit comments or suggestions using our online form.
