Introducing Kathleen Oakey

The Dana Porter Library welcomes Kathleen Oakey to its Information Services and Resources team.

Kathleen Oakey

Library Intern
Ext. 37133

Kathleen greets graduating students during UW's Gradfest 2008.

Kathleen is a co-op student from the University of Western Ontario where she is completing her Master of Library and Information Science degree. She will be at the Porter Library until the end of April, providing research assistance to students at Porter's Information Desk and working on various collections and outreach projects.

Of special interest is that Kathleen is a UW grad! She graduated in 2003 with an English degree after which she also completed a Bachelor of Education degree at Western.

When asked what she likes most about the position so far, Kathleen answers "meeting and working with other great librarians and learning about really interesting resources I had no idea existed when I did my undergrad here."

Welcome to the Library, Kathleen!
