After over five months of construction, the main floor of Porter will be reopening on Tuesday, October 14.
The reopening was announced late last week. On this day, the main entrance will be opened and equipped with security gates and the first floor entrance across from Needles Hall will be closed shortly thereafter. The Research Help and Circulation Desks will move from the first floor into the new space and this will also be the opening date for the Graphics Copy Centre and Browsers Cafe.
Most of the floor’s public workstations will be ready in time for the opening, and staff expect that most or all of the reference collection will be in place.
