Ext. 32891

In her new position, Agnes provides leadership on matters relating to government information and numeric data. In coming months, she will also assume liaison responsibilities for Economics, including collection management, reference, and the development of course-related information literacy instruction.

Agnes joins Porter's Information Services and Resources (ISR) Department after spending 3 years in the Cataloguing Department, where she was responsible for cataloguing English and Russian books and electronic resources. Prior to this, she worked for 7 years in the Map Library and for a period in the Circulation Department.

Agnes graduated with a Masters in Library Science from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland and started working at the Library shortly after arriving in Canada in 1993.

She is looking forward to her position and, in particular, to working with government information. "Government publications are the materials most people are afraid to use and explore. My goal is to change that."

Everyone in Porter ISR is elated to welcome Agnes to her new position within the department.
