Knowledge Ontario Resources

Update on Eureka.cc   -  As of May 1, 2011, Knowledge Ontario no longer provides access to Eureka. 

The Library recently acquired some significant electronic resources through its involvement in Knowledge Ontario (KO) that include Ontario community newspapers and Canadian French-language news sources. Also through KO, the Library has gained access to a wide selection of databases from Gale publishing.

Individual titles are also accessible through the Library's Canadian newspaper listing.

All titles provide full-text articles, although archival coverage varies title to title. As with other news sources, some publisher bans also exist for new content created within 24 to 72 hours.

Gale Databases

The Library has access to over 50 new Gale databases covering a wide range of disciplines. Sample titles include Academic OneFile, the news source Canadian Periodicals Index (CPI.Q), and a range of Gale's "Infotrac" databases on specific topics like Communication & Media to World History. See this full list to view all of the new titles. Also, please note that individual titles are in the process of being added to the Library's Research Databases list.

Knowledge OntarioKnowledge Ontario is a collaboration of libraries, cultural heritage organizations, and educational institutions. Its focus is on connecting Ontarians with digital content to support their information and learning needs.
