June Workshop: Mapping Census Data

Looking to spruce up your census data research? Try mapping it! The Library is offering a free workshop “Mapping Census Data: Finding Results in Non-textual Formats” on June 17.

This workshop will provide an overview of the Canadian Census Data available to the Waterloo academic community, as well as a step-by-step demonstration on how to transform tabular Statistics Canada information into resourceful maps.

Mapping Census Data

Created by librarians Agnes Zientarska-Kayko and Eva Dodsworth (the same librarian who brought you the Library’s Google Earth workshop and popular Geo-Abstract art exhibit), this workshop shows how mapping can make Census Data (and therefore anything) more useful, interesting, and fun.

To register, go to our workshop registration page.
