PubMed Gets the "Get It!" Link

Great news for health students and researchers! The GetIt!@Waterloo / SFX link is now available within PubMed.

As with other databases, clicking on the “GetIt!” link generates a search for full-text availability within the Library’s holdings. When doing so, it opens up a page with any available full-text links, as well as a link to the catalogue to enable easy searching for a hard-copy of the article if necessary.

“GetIt!” Differences in PubMed

There are a couple differences with the PubMed version of the “GetIt!” feature:

• The recognizable “GetIt!” symbol is only available from within the full record view. You will not see it beside citations on search results pages:

• The SFX page (the screen that opens with full-text links and a link to the catalogue) also contains a link for placing an interlibrary loan for the article. When clicked, the ILL option links to an automatically populated RACER form, so submitting ILL requests is easy:
