Earth Sciences Display in DC

Find out how the earth sciences fit into your life. A new display at the Davis Centre Library explores this topic and features the GeoTime Trail created by Alan Morgan from Earth & Environmental Sciences.

Earth Sciences display

The GeoTime Trail opened in October 2007 and represents a Canadian contribution to the International Year of Planet Earth. The display highlights main aspects of the GeoTime Trail which tells the story of our geological history over a Waterloo trail that is 4.5 km long.

The display in DC was initiated by Kathy Szigeti, Liaison Librarian for Earth & Environmental Sciences (E & ES), with design support provided by Esther Millar, the Library's Communications and Web Management Coordinator.

"In addition to showcasing the GeoTime Trail, the display includes real-world examples of how earth sciences contribute to everyday life, in this case via bike riding and music," says Szigeti.
