Finding articles in Canadian historical periodicals is now a little easier, thanks to a new resource, Libris Canadiana.
Libris Canadiana indexes articles from a selection of Canadian periodicals of historical importance, including:
Coverage extends from 1867-1978.
Libris Canadiana is described as a "window into the social and cultural life of the nineteeth and twentieth centuries." It allows for keyword, title, author, and subject (Thesaurus) searching of articles and currently contains approximately 250,000 citations with annotations. Comprehensive abstracts are included for Maclean’s Magazine.
Since this database provides citations only (no full-text access to articles), you will need to click on the "Get it! @ Waterloo" button within each record to enable a search within Primo or TRELLIS to check the Library's periodical holdings for the article(s) are you interested in.
