Special Collections video

The video covers everything you’ll need to know to get started, including:

The video was created by Special Collections’ Archivist, Anita Streicher, and Communications and Liaison Librarian, Nancy Collins. It is based on a tutorial created by the University of Manitoba’s Archives & Special Collections.

"The video is an engaging way to introduce students to using the collections and remove any intimidation or confusion about using primary sources for their research," Streicher explains.

Students are already accessing this video to prepare for class visits to the department. It is currently displayed prominently on the Special Collections’ homepage, as well as on the UW Library’s YouTube page.

The video stars students Patrick Pinnell, Niroshan Ragunathan, and Erin Turnbull. Many will recognize Patrick from the Library’s act on it @ your library poster and bookmark this year.
