Over 200 guests joined History Professor / Executive Director of CIGI, John English, and University President, David Johnston, at FED Hall on November 11 for Waterloo’s official book launch for volume two of English’s Trudeau biography entitled "Just Watch Me: The Life of Pierre Elliott Trudeau, 1968-2000.”
Jointly hosted by the University (Library, BookStore, and the Faculty of Arts) and Canadian International Council, the event was moderated by President Johnston, during which English touched on some of the major topics developed in his book.
This second volume is already receiving excellent reviews and was described recently in the Toronto Star as a rich biography that “will more than satisfy the casual reader... as well as the student looking for a comprehensive account of [Trudeau’s] remarkable years as prime minister.”
