Attention SciFinder users! SciFinder (formerly known as SciFinder Scholar) is now only accessible via web access.

To access SciFinder web, you will need to register for an account while on campus (or via the proxy server) using your Waterloo email address. This is your personal registration that you will always use to login to SciFinder.
For new users, SciFinder is a research tool for exploring the Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) databases containing literature from a wide range of scientific disciplines including biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, materials science, and agricultural science.
Material dates back to 1907 and includes the following:
It also includes a very useful (and fun!) chemical and reaction structure builder, as pictured below.

The Library’s subscription supports access for 6 simultaneous users, so remember to log off once you are done your session.
For training, see the SciFinder website for tutorials, seminars, and labs.
