Express Workstations at Porter

On the suggestion of a faculty member, librarians at the Dana Porter Library have initiated an express workstation pilot for the spring term.

Two public workstations have been designated as “express workstations” with a 5-minute limit during peak times.

So far feedback has been positive. Comments submitted through a comment box near the workstations include:

“Excellent. Love it!”

“Good idea – I mostly use the computers to print something quick so it works for me.”

“Very handy in situations where you just need to quickly print or check something.”

Students and faculty are currently encouraged to self-enforce the 5-minute time limit.
