The latest addition to the Library’s suite of databases courtesy of Knowledge Ontario includes the Chilton Library, Grzimek’s Animal Life, and Literature Resource Center.
The Library now has access to over 50 Gale databases from Knowledge Ontario. Highlights from the most recent addition include:
Chilton Library contains “automotive repair information for do-it-yourself (DIY) people.” It includes auto repair manuals, photographs, diagnostics, step-by-step repair procedures, wiring diagrams, and much more. Vehicles are searchable by year, make, and model.

Based on Grzimek's 17-volume Animal Life Encyclopedia, this database contains information on over 4,000 species categorized by Amphibians, Reptiles, Birds, Fish, Insects, Mammals, and Simple Aquatic Life. It includes more than 11,000 images, videos, illustrations, and maps.

Literature Resource Center is a comprehensive resource for information on literary works, topics, and authors. It covers all genres, time periods, and geographic regions and includes scholarly articles, book excerpts, book reviews, biographical essays, and primary source material such as correspondences and diaries. It also includes thousands of poems and short stories published in contemporary journals and magazines.
Chilton Library, Grzimek’s Animal Life, and Literature Resource Center are all accessible by title browse via the Library’s Research Databases or through the main Gale databases page by selecting “Gale – Knowledge Ontario” in the “Popular choices” search:
