The Library recently purchased the Encyclopedia of Geography, an online version of the six-volume, 3,560-page print equivalent containing more than 1,200 entries on a vast range of geography topics.
The encyclopedia reflects the diverse viewpoints of geographers and the geography discipline. It includes hundreds of colour images and illustrations and provides topic summaries for current trends such as globalization, geospatial technologies, and environmental destruction.
The encyclopedia’s contents are fully searchable and are also available to browse via an alphabetical list of entries, a subject index, and a reader’s guide which is divided into these broad subject categories:
The advanced search lets you limit your search terms to different sections of the entries and includes the option to only show entries with sidebars, images, tables, and multimedia.
The Encyclopedia of Geography is available via Primo.
