Eureka.cc

Once available via Knowledge Ontario, the Library now subscribes to the news database, Eureka.cc. Eureka.cc provides access to over 3,700 news sources worldwide in over a dozen languages.

Eureka.cc includes newspapers, trade publications, corporate profile databases, news wires, select blogs, and indexed websites. It has even recently started to index Twitter tweets.

Eureka.cc also includes a significant amount of Ontario and French-language publications. There are over 800 Canadian titles and newspapers are mainly from smaller regional areas and include aboriginal communities. Eureka.cc also includes radio and television transcripts of programs produced by the CBC/SRC.

The Eureka.cc search lets you limit by date and sources and it includes source selections for Canada (ENG), Canada (FR), and Canada (ENG + FR).
