Plans are underway to relocate and integrate the Map Library’s services and collections into the Dana Porter Library in the spring of 2012.
Current plans are for the Map Library to relocate to the 3rd floor of Porter, into the space previously occupied by Centre for Teaching Excellence staff. One major appeal of this space is that all of the Map Library’s staff, services, and collections will remain together as a single unit.
Staff are now investigating possible service models for the new space, as well as opportunities to potentially enhance the number of GIS workstations made available.
