The Library now has access to an additional 20 years of coverage for The Times via its Digital Archive 1785-2006.
Coverage for this British newspaper extends to include the previously-omitted years 1986-2006 and may be of particular interest to researchers studying world events such as 9/11 or the Iraq War which took place during this period.

The Times Digital Archive interface includes digital images of the paper’s full pages as they originally appeared in print. The layout and images are maintained, making it a useful resource for researchers studying news stories in context of how they were initially reported. This resource contains simple and advanced search options as well as an option to browse-by-date. The interface was also updated with the addition of new content, so aspects of the interface will have improved functionality.
The Times is also searchable in the databases Factiva and LexisNexis (for researchers primarily interested in the text-only results). The Times Digital Archive is available via Primo, the Research Databases page, and the Library’s new News Sources Guide.
