Eva is the Library’s Geospatial Data Services Librarian and is well known across the campus, country, and continent as an expert educator on GIS technologies. In this how-to manual, Eva introduces readers to spatial literacy, online mapping programs, desktop GIS software programs, and geospatial data.
“This book has been in the works for a couple of years,” says Dodsworth. “I teach several online GIS courses at universities in Canada and the United States. Much of this material comes from those classes. It can be used as a training manual for anyone interested in learning more about GIS.”
The Library and Bookstore are co-hosting this book launch during which Eva will provide highlights from her book. Attendees will have an opportunity to win a personal copy of this book and refreshments and snacks will be served.
