The Map Library Will Become the Geospatial Centre

Laura Bredahl: The Galapagos Librarian

Many of you may know Laura Bredahl as the Liaison Librarian for Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, and Astronomy, but for 10 weeks during the fall term she was also the International Librarian Volunteer at the Charles Darwin Foundation Research Station in Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos archipelagos. ARTstor Images for Academic Publishing

ARTstor logoARTstor contains over a million images in the arts, architecture, humanities, and social sciences. Its collections include contributions from museums, photographers, libraries, scholars, artists, and photo archives from around the world. What's Next for Westmount

Since launching her book Westmount: The Tie that Binds the Twin Cities back in November, the Library's Head of Special Collections, Susan Mavor, has received a flurry of invitations from community groups interested in learning more about the Westmount neighbourhood and its history. Introducing Alexandra Johne

Picture of Alexandra JohneAlexandra Johne has come all the way from Mannheim, Germany to study at the University of Waterloo for one year as part of a joint MA in Intercultural German Studies (IcGS). Since arriving in January, she has also been working at the Library as a Research Assistant, helping to update the German Canadiana in Ontario Bibliography (GCO), a resource that is a joint project of the Library and the Waterloo Centre for German Studies.
