The Map Library Will Become the Geospatial Centre

The Map Library will be renamed the Geospatial Centre when it relocates from EV1 to the Dana Porter Library later next month.

The target date range for the move is the intersession period, between April 22 and May 1.

The new Geospatial Centre will be located on the third floor of the Dana Porter Library in the space previously occupied by the Centre for Teaching Excellence (CTE). The Geospatial Centre will house cartographic material such as geospatial data, maps, and air photos. Regular and oversized atlases will be located in adjoining space on the third floor. The space will also include five GIS workstations.

The Geospatial Centre will be relocated to the 3rd floor of the Dana Porter Library, in the space previously occupied by the Centre for Teaching Excellence.

We will provide more information about the Geospatial Centre’s services, technology, and layout as plans move forward.
