Do you use geospatial data in your research and studies? If so, you’re going to love Scholars GeoPortal, a new geospatial data search tool that lets you discover, map, share, and download a wide range of geospatial data.
The GeoPortal offers search, preview, query, download, and sharing functionality for datasets licensed by Ontario university libraries, covering such topics as land use, transportation networks, census boundaries, geology, soils, points of interest (such as healthcare facilities, schools, and airports), air photos, and more.
The GeoPortal is powered by Esri’s ArcGIS software. It lets you:
The GeoPortal includes data from Statistics Canada, the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, and DMTI Spatial Incorporated. Datasets are continually being added to the GeoPortal from these sources.
