PsycINFO Changes

Attention all PsycINFO users! The Library will be switching search platforms for PsycINFO effective July 1.

The new search is APA PsycNET and it has been designed specifically for the PsycINFO databases (PsycARTICLES, PsycBOOKS, and PsycCRITIQUES). It includes features that allow for easier and more powerful searching and sorting. For example, you can now limit search results to age group, population group, methodology, tests and measures, and classification code. Reference lists are available and contain a valuable “cited by” feature that was missing from the Library’s previous platform.

The APA PsycNET platform also lets you browse APA’s collection of psychology journals by topic or title and includes a useful “term finder” feature.

Psyc databases will also remain accessible via the previous platform (ProQuest) until April 2013.
