We Welcome Your Input on the Library’s Draft Strategic Directions

Just under a year ago, the Library launched a strategic Library Review. A lot has happened in the interim, including the campus Mid-Cycle Review (MCR), the development of several Faculty strategic plans, and the introduction of many new faces on campus at the senior leadership level. Work on the Library Review has dove-tailed with and been informed by these various changes.

We have just released our Library Review: Campus Consultation Document. We welcome your comments and input. Please submit feedback directly to the University Librarian, .

The document summarizes the work that has been done to date since the Library Review was initiated. It introduces four draft strategic directions.

A table listing the Library's emerging strategic and enabling directions. 1) Advance research and scholarship by partnering with researchers and scholars in the production, dissemination, and preservation of knowledge. 2) Enable student success by providing measurably effective education, outreach, and information services and resources. 3) Foster creativity, collaboration, and pro-active skills development and expand the infrastructure for staff training and development. 4) Address critical space needs and establish a framework for agile space management that is responsive to ongoing campus needs.

Our goal moving forward is to focus our efforts in ways that directly support and advance the priorities of the uWaterloo community.

Any and all input is appreciated.
