Aziz Aboueleinin is the Circulation department's new Lending Supervisor, Environment and Website. In this newly-created position, Aziz helps to maintain a positive and productive library environment for visitors and is responsible for the quality of the Circulation department's website presence. He also supervises the Library's part-time circulation supervisors and monitoring staff.
"The Library is always looking for innovative ways to improve its environment and make it attractive to students, faculty and staff," says Aziz. "One of my job duties is to work along with other library staff to establish an environment that is conducive to all types of learning, productivity, and academic success."

On the website side of his position, Aziz has joined the Library’s Web Operations Committee and will be taking part in a working group piloting the migration of a section of the Library’s website into Drupal in preparation for the Library’s website redesign.
Aziz started at the Library in 2008 and has held a variety of positions, including Evening Supervisor and Technical Support, Library Clerk in Resource Sharing and Reserves — both in the Davis Centre Library — and most recently, Library Associate in the Dana Porter Library.
In this last position, Aziz focused on collection management projects and provided information services for students and faculty. This included working with librarians Christine Jewell and Tim Ireland to create the Mobile Library Services Guide, which provides information on the library services available for mobile device users.
Outside of work, Aziz enjoys biking, gardening, watching soccer, and playing with his children Mohamed, Hossam, and Habibah.
